Leading Organization Change
The Leading Organization Change course has been instrumental in my growth as an educator because it has changed my perspective and approach toward a leader, equipping me with transformative strategies to change my organization and, in turn, improve my students' learning experience. In this regard, it is essential to highlight that each module has significantly expanded my educational toolkit, from exploring the urgent need for change in "What is Your Why" to linking the "Influencer Strategy", "Executing Change" introduced me to the four disciplines of execution "4DX", that serve as a driving force in our pursuit of educational excellence and finally allowed me to broadly explore the focus on "Self-Differentiated Leadership" and the use and implementation of Crucial Conversations, emphasizing the importance of effective communication and conversations to foster trust and teamwork. This compilation shows the development of the course modules and the contribution that each of these works made to turn me into a differentiated leader prepared to face the inevitable resistance to change.
What's Your Why
In the following statement, I will address the why, how, and what, which will address the process and its outcome to promote the importance of my innovation plan, reach the heart of my community, and help to establish a sense of urgency. In parts A and B, I am going to show how those mentioned above, can be used to speak to the heart, create a sense of urgency, and reduce complacency, considering my innovation plan, which proposes transforming pre-kindergarten math teaching into a fun experience that motivates students to enjoy learning and develop a positive mindset toward math. To make learning fun and accessible and apply the COVA approach to give children a choice and voice in their educational process.
Influencer StrategyPart A & B
Transform the teaching of mathematics in your pre-kindergarten by applying gamification! Based on the influence model of Grenny, Maxfield, and Shimberg, this article proposes a novel strategy to make learning mathematics more fun and meaningful for children. With specific and measurable objectives, this proposal seeks better academic performance and, in addition, to increase the active participation of students. On the other hand, throughout the article, you will see how collaboration between teachers and parents can help carry out the initiative to create a practical and attractive school context.
Installing 4DX with Your Organization
Achieving change in an organization requires discipline and happens gradually over time. In fact, organizations can act strategically to achieve their goals by identifying the stage of change and incorporating execution strategies at the right time. Below are the stages of execution and change described in my 4DX plan, which are necessary to achieve my innovation plan goal.
Self-differentiated leadership
Being a self-differentiated leader will allow you to establish effective communication, efficiently organize the organizational change process, and successfully lead your team toward the desired transformation. By practicing self-differentiation and knowing how to use and implement crucial conversations, you will be able to manage the complexities of change with understanding, empathy, and clarity, creating an environment conducive to growth and adaptation in your organization.
