Contribution to Your Learning and the Learning Community

For me, technology has always been a fascinating topic that has generated a feeling of curiosity, and little by little, as I develop the courses in my ADL master's, I learn more and more. This is my second trimester, and I am taking two ADL courses simultaneously. In this sense, I was developing the courses 5303 Applying Educ Tech: Portfolio, facilitated by Dr. Dwayne Harapnuik, and 5313 Create Significant Learning Environment, facilitated by Dr. Kelly Grogan.

I continue enthusiastically despite sometimes needing more clarity with so much information. I have learned a lot through the readings and videos that both teachers have published. Among the most important topics that I have learned are learning theories, fundamental ideas of a new learning culture to be applied to my learning environment, how to create a meaningful learning environment, expanding my knowledge about the growth mindset and how to use it in my classroom, as well as how to have greater mastery when preparing my portfolio. With the constant support of the teachers and the incredible work team, I have taken a more active role in building my learning.

These courses have impacted my academic performance and positively influenced all areas of my life. I am a persevering and determined person. When I face a challenge, I don't give up easily. Instead of giving up, I learn from my mistakes and continue to strive until I reach my goals. Now, I have carried out an arduous work process where I have put the best of myself in each evaluation, considering the COVA approach, where the student has the freedom to choose (C) organize, present their experiences, and evidence learning. Ownership (O) of the entire ePortfolio process, The opportunity to use your own voice (V) to review and restructure your work and ideas, and Authentic Learning Opportunities (A) and based on my self-assessment, I have a rating of 95/100 in Applying Educ Tech: Portfolio and 95/100 in Create Significant Learning Environment.

In 5303 in Applying Educ Tech: Portfolio, my contribution to my learning was to improve my e-portfolio to share my work, reflect on my growth, and develop my voice. In 5313, Create Significant Learning Environment, I analyzed the learning theories, chose the ones that adapt to our educational system, and then combined them to create and implement important digital learning environments, developing the 3-column table. The UbD design to plan my unit in the class, I also updated and expanded my growth plan mindset that had already started in the previous quarter; finally, to combine the two courses mentioned above, I collected all the information and placed it in my eportfolio to contribute to my process academics and communities to develop and grow important digital learning environments. It is important to note that I reviewed all assignments and reflected on revisions in this contribution to a learning activity. I also completed all the course readings, videos, and support resources and met the deadlines for the delivery of my activities.

Regarding the support contributions, I was actively participating in 1 group made up of 3 people (Joyce Torres, Francys Azocar, and I). We were always in contact through WhatsApp, sharing ideas, experiences, and resources and providing feedback on each of the works before, during, and after delivery; we also held meetings via Zoom to share ideas, clarify doubts that were raised, as well as exchanging bibliographic information. We all did an excellent job; we assumed responsibility for the group's leadership, contributing through participation in all activities. I posted my opinions in a timely and insightful manner, incorporating quotes from authors so others could respond to my post. Finally, I believe I could improve by being more active when entering and participating in Zoom meetings for future courses.
