What's Your Why
Part A: Why, How, and What of Organization Change
why?
To create an engaging experience, inspiring students to enjoy learning and establish a positive mindset towards mathematics.
how?
To do this, I will use gamification, integrating interactive and engaging games based on the prekindergarten curriculum, to make learning mathematics fun and accessible for all children.
what?
To develop students with strong mathematical skills and a love of learning who are ready to succeed in the digital age.
Part B: How can these three questions touch the heart, create urgency, and reduce complacency?
It is no secret that the use of mathematics is necessary at all stages of our lives; however, in prekindergarten, where learning is done through play, it is sometimes taught in a boring way, far from the real cognitive need in which students between three years and five years of age are found and where later after that experience, children feel a bit of rejection towards mathematics. Faced with this situation, there is a need to act urgently by creating an attractive, fun, and personalized mathematics learning experience where students are inspired to enjoy learning and establish a positive mindset towards mathematics. How through the use of the gamification tool, I will develop and strengthen skills in the area of mathematics through games adapted to the prekindergarten curriculum to make learning mathematics fun and accessible for all children and where it provides options, ownership, and voice in their learning of mathematics. And in this way, by leaving behind the old, obsolete systems and methods of teaching mathematics and adopting these innovative tools, taking advantage of the impressive power of interactive games, we will be reducing complacency and training from an early age the new generation of students with logical thinking, problem-solving and solid digital skills in mathematics and love and interest in meaningful and lasting learning ready to succeed in the digital age.
